Pay It Forward

Hello lovely readers!  I am still here, contrary to how it may seem from the lack of posts...
I'm excited to announce something new for me and my blog - a Pay It Forward event!  I found this on Kat's blog (which you should all check out), I've never seen anything like this before and I think it will be a tonne of fun!

I will send a surprise gift to the first three commenters on this post.  The gift will be handmade by me.  It will be sent sometime in the next 365 days.  It will be a surprise.  All you need to do is:-

  1. In your comment, tell me your two favourite colours (that will help me make an appropriate gift).
  2. To sign up and receive a gift, you must play along too.  Pay It Forward on your blog, by promising to make a surprise for the first three people who comment on the post.
  3. You must have a blog (this is to help me figure out what to make for you).
  4. After commenting here, you must re-post this or something similar to your blog in 48 hours.  If not, I will chose the next person who comments...
  5. I will need a way to contact you so please leave your email address
I'm really looking forward to making gifts for people, so comment away!

  1. Hello! I'm so glad you're doing this too! I attempted to sign up else where and missed it by this much: --> <--. GRR! I thought I'd be all altruistic and all "oh, well, it's the spirit of the thing!" but alas, I'm a mere mortal (who desperately loves getting stuff in the mail!).

So, if it's okay, may I sign up here?

Colors I absolutely loathe are cotton pink, bright oranges (think fire cone orange), and swamp green. Otherwise I'm not *too* picky!

I can be reached at the following email: tina_crossgrove(at)hotmail(dot)com

My blog is Down the Retro Rabbit Hole (retrorabbithole.blogspot.com).

    1. Hi Tina, that's absolutely brilliant :) And I know what you mean about just missing things - I always seem to be 5 minutes too late!
I'm looking forward to making your surprise :)

  2. Hi Megan, what a great idea. Better than the old chain letters that went around decades ago or the email chains wanting recipes. The time frame bit I love. This is a bit of fun my blog needs. I love all colours, although too much mustard doesn't work so well for me! I live in a definite transitional seasonal environment and I am strongly influenced by my surroundings. In winter, I don't wear aqua shades for example, because they are just too summery. Naming shades of colours is tricky for me. I find trying to name up colours for the fabrics I am putting online a fine line between pleasure and torture.

I'm not sure how to repost the above message: does simply copy and paste work? Chat soon, Gen

    1. Hi Gen!!
Copy and paste should work - that's how I got it onto my blog :)
Can't wait to start making the surprise!
